Denture wearers with severe gag reflex sensations have been completely rehabilitated:

I had an active gag reflex problem that was so intense that I couldn’t even keep them in. Now I not only can keep them in, but I hardly even know that they are in my mouth.

My dentures gagged so bad that I had to take them out of my mouth before I ate anything. But, after just two visits I can chew my meals comfortably and I can even enjoy the taste of the foods that I used to enjoy before I got dentures.

As soon as my dentist put my dentures in my mouth, I immediately became nauseated and had to take them out. I wasn’t able to wear them for six years. The Advanced Arts Denture Care specialist fixed the gag problem so that I can wear them and eat with them comfortably.

We solved the denture gagging problem for them and we can do it for you.

Some factures that can cause denture gag reflex:

New Technology adds to denture gag reflex breakthroughs that can add to your Comfort

Research and development in denture technology has unearthed numerous alternatives to old fashioned denture wearing, however, so many of them work differently from one individual to another. Unless your denture care expert is familiar with denture gag reflex therapy, he or she may not know the most fitting alternative for you nor how to perform it. The bottom line is that not all of these alternatives will work for you. Most importantly, find a knowledgeable and experienced denture therapist who will give you as many workable options as possible.

Many alternatives are used to eliminate the denture gag reflex syndrome. Removing the center portion that fits against roof of the mouth often works. The roof of the mouth is called the pallet. The hard pallet piece of the denture can be removed. Sometimes dentists or even denture patients cut the pallet portion out of the denture. A denture without the pallet part can be successful; meaning your denture is now without pallet coverage. This is often called a palletless denture or a no pallet denture. The upper denture is made to look similar to the lower; without the pallet or middle portion. Modifying dentures to fit securely and comfortably is a rare art. Be aware that only experts are successful with gag reflex procedures. Our board certified denturist has been involved in extensive gag reflex therapeutic research and development and uses the latest techniques.

Sometimes designing and rebuilding the borders of the denture eliminates the gag reflex problem. Often times, just making the dentures thinner will provide a workable solution. Other denture gag reflex techniques involve making the dentures thinner, whether it’s the upper or the lower, which ever is giving you a gag reflex problem. Other techniques incorporated in gag reflex therapy are Mini ImplantsTM, Suction Cup LinersTM, Suction GripTM, Comfa-GripTM, Ultra SuctionTM, Lucy softTM and Perma SoftTM just to name a few.
